Tools and Software To Save You Time
HTML Editors, Etc.
HTML Editors - at least that I've tried... it's a surprisingly long list.
And it seems like I see new ones every day... But, I tend to come back to just a couple.
-
Namo Web Editor
Compare this to FrontPage or PageMaker,
but without the hefty price tag. And,
without the messy HTML. In fact, if
you tell Namo to leave your HTML alone,
it really will not touch it, even if
you edit in WYSIWYG mode. Namo has three
modes of operation - visual edit, html
edit, and browser preview. Plus nifty
image utilities - like an integrated
button maker, animation editor, and
image slicer. I like to see the 'flow'
of the page when I'm making changes,
and Namo fits the bill perfectly. I
haven't found any other WYSIWYG editor
that let's me make text or layout changes
without making unneccessary changes
to the HTML.

First Page 2000
I tried this first in 1999 believe it or not, and it still is my favorite HTML editor.
I was an absolute newbie to HTML when I first used it, but it has grown with me over the last three
years. 1st Page has three modes - easy to expert - so maybe that's why. Downside
- no WYSIWYG - and unfortunately,
Evrsoft hasn't released an upgrade in quite a while, so it's hard to say what's up with this one long term.

Vend-O-Matic
This one is a sales page generator -- you input the descriptive
text, the price, etc., and vend-o-matic
generates your sales letter - the complete html page. Really cool, and if you use ClickBank to process your payments, it even
generates the ClickBank sales link and
thank you page too!
-
Affiliate Link Wrapper
Not an editor per se, but this super easy software creates a complete HTML page for your affiliate link
with just a couple of inputs by you. Save the page and your done. Has options for redirects or encoded links,
and generates your meta tags too.
I use this one all the time - it's great.
And, it always blows me away to see
Google and Yahoo find my affiliate pages
- it really is worth the extra five
minutes to make them.

NetMechanic Web Tools
Online tools to 'tune-up' your website: from repairing HTML to finding broken links -- to viewing your
pages in different browsers -- Netmechanic is the most complete web site maintenance facility
I've found. And, they have a great free webmaster tips newsletter too.
